Russia/Ukraine - Who to support?
Who’s right? Who’s wrong?
When the New Zealand government starts making decisions that will badly affect our economy, prosperity and food supply, it becomes very obvious very quickly that there’s some kind of geopolitical agenda going on in the background.
So when western media was suddenly full of news about Russia brutally invading Ukraine and lacking any justification for doing so, I knew it was all just NATO propaganda to manufacture public consent for action against Russia.
Now I’m not someone who has ever supported or worshipped any politician like many people do nowadays, either in New Zealand or overseas. I’ve also never joined any political organisations and don’t consider myself either left or right wing.
I am merely an observer.
Trusting politicians is a dangerous game to play as it affects our objectivity and makes us susceptible to propaganda.
And with what I know about Ukraine over the last 8 years I knew that the west was going to have to put their propaganda machine into overdrive if they were going to be successful at pulling the wool over the western public’s eyes on this one.
Contrary to what NATO and western media would like you to think, there actually is justification for Putin’s military operation in Ukraine.
And it is a military operation. Not a war.
Putin has no desire to go conquering country after country like the western politicians and media would have you believe.
But he was put in a position where he had to do something to protect the future of the Russian people from an undoubtedly existential threat.
So let’s take a look at the events in Ukraine over the last 8 years before we go deciding whether we really want to get involved in supporting one side or the other in this conflict.
Much could be written but I’ll just concentrate on the main points surrounding the Maiden in 2014 when the democratically elected leader was ousted in a coup d’état.
Leading up to the coup in early 2014, the Ukrainian secret service were getting very suspicious at the increasing anti government rhetoric on social media.
The USA government were running a program in Ukraine at the time called “tech camp” with the aim of helping to bring Ukraine into the 21st century by teaching everyday Ukrainian citizens IT skills. Basically they were upskilling Ukrainian citizens, but all was not as it seemed.
The day prior to the Maiden protests when all the trouble kicked off, the Head of the security services was addressing parliament and the session was broadcast on TV.
The government were informed that acting on their suspicions, the secret service had infiltrated the tech camp program by posing as students.
To their horror they discovered the Americans were actually teaching Ukrainian citizens how to take down the democratically elected government by using social media.
A colour revolution.
So in the buildup to the Russia/Ukraine conflict we see today, the Maiden was the most significant turning point in the souring of relations between Ukraine and Russia.
Shortly after the Maiden protests the elected leader Viktor Yanucovych fled the country and then suddenly USA diplomats were seen walking the streets of Kyiv.
Victoria Nuland was a common sight.
The USA then proceeded to install their own pro NATO puppet government many of whom were well known members of neo nazi organisations and who glorified nazi war criminals like Stepan Bandera.
When I call them Nazis, I don’t mean they are just far right extremists like we are used to in New Zealand. These people were hardline followers of nazi ideology who wanted to create a pure nationalist Ukrainian state. And Nazi ideology is pure evil.
Nazi fighting battalions sprung up who were loyal to the nazi politicians. The Azov Battalion, the Aidar battalion, the right sector, svoboda and c14.
Of course not everybody in Ukraine was happy with the state of affairs. Especially Russian speaking Ukrainian citizens as they became the target of the nazi politicians and their battalions.
Many did not want to pledge allegiance to the illegitimate nazi government and so they resisted.
The citizens in the east did not want to submit and be second class citizens so the various neo nazi groups and Ukraine army were sent in to kill them.
The people of Donetsk and Luhansk were not Russian separatists. They were Russian speaking Ukrainian citizens who were forced to protect themselves from a murderous regime.
Calls for genocide of Russian speaking Ukrainian citizens were broadcast over the airwaves. Most notably on a USA funded Ukrainian TV station.
The new Ukraine Foreign minister even requested a meeting with the German Foreign Minister to discuss Germany helping with the genocide of Russian speaking Ukrainians in the country.
Germany declined obviously.
Since then the people of Luhansk and Donetsk have been living under attack from their own government and the UNHRC has made comment on the many war crimes of the Azov battalion against Ukrainian citizens.
In Crimea the citizens also didn’t want to be ruled by a nazi regime so they also resisted their rule.
In response, the Ukraine regime cut off the food and water supply to Crimea. They set up road blocks and stopped all food delivery trucks going into Crimea.
Which is why 97% of Crimeans then voted in a referendum to join Russia.
To escape the persecution from the nazi regime in Kiev.
In Odessa many citizens also did not want to be ruled by the nazi regime but sadly they weren’t so lucky.
The protesters were mainly grandparents, women and children. They had no way to defend themselves so they decided on a peaceful protest.
What happened in Odessa was a massacre.
The Right Sector neo nazi battalion was sent in and given permission to deal with the protesters.
Under the governments orders they attacked the protesters. The last of them were backed into the trade union building and then the Right Sector burnt it down with the protesters inside. 50 died in the inferno. Either burnt to death or from jumping out the windows to escape the flames.
There is a very good documentary by an investigative reporter who was in Odessa at the time which has actual footage of what occurred.
The documentary is called Masks of Revolution. I thoroughly recommend everyone in the west watches it.
Here’s the link
You’ll even see Biden with one of the most prominent neo nazi leaders in the world in the documentary as the reporter also covers, politics, interviews neo nazi soldiers and even visits a neo nazi training camp.
Back in the east of the country the battles raged on against the citizens of Donetsk and Luhansk.
The west’s propaganda machine went into action and laid the blame for all the events squarely at the feet of Russia. They painted the Crimea referendum as an illegal annexation by Russia without even mentioning the actions of the neo nazi regime the USA installed.
They painted the citizens in the east as Russian separatists when they were just citizens but never mentioned the war crimes committed by the neo nazi Azov battalion.
Back in Russia there was a lot of pressure put on Putin to stop the slaughter of Russian speakers in eastern Ukraine but because of the false narrative the international community were fomenting his hands were tied.
The international community were already blaming Russia and 125 OSCE observers from 25 different countries were sent to be stationed along the border to ensure no weapons were being sent from Russia to the citizens of Donetsk and Luhansk
It’s important to note that the OSCE reported no breaches of the border by Russia whatsoever.
What Putin did do however was to grant leave to any of their armed forces personnel who had family living in east Ukraine if they wanted to go and protect them.
Which is fair enough I think. I’d certainly want to protect my family in that situation.
The attack by Ukraine government forces has been ongoing for the last 8 years.
In 2014-15 thousands of western far right extremists from all over the world even travelled to Ukraine to receive training at the nazi training camps and to practice their new killing skills on Russian speaking Ukrainian citizens in the east.
Estimates are that around 16000 western far right extremists have travelled there in the last 8 years.
Ukraine has since become the worldwide hub of Nazism and even the mosque shooter in Christchurch travelled to and had connections with the nazi scene in Ukraine.
In September 2014 the Minsk peace protocol was inked in an effort to end the attacks on the citizens in east Ukraine but this failed to secure any lasting ceasefire.
The following year diplomacy was attempted again to bring an end to the fighting with the Minsk 2 peace protocols. While agreement was reached it still did not secure any lasting ceasefire and the Ukraine government continued to attack citizens in the east until this very day.
The ongoing genocide of Russian speaking Ukrainian citizens in the east by the Kiev regime was not the only reason for Putin’s invasion in 2022 however.
The NATO and EU membership aspirations of the Ukraine regime were an even bigger threat as it would mean NATO weapons would be stationed against the Russian border and these membership aspirations were enshrined in the Ukrainian constitution in 2019.
When the Ukraine government later started talk of their nuclear ambitions it was then that a red line was crossed and Putin had no choice but to treat NATOs encroachment on Russia’s security as an existential threat to the Russian people.
As always, when it comes to war it’s prudent to remember that the first casualty of war is always the truth.
Propaganda is designed to get us emotionally involved in supporting one side or the other.
An emotional connection that can become too painful to break if we invest too much of our credibility for too long in our convictions.
Our western politicians are currently in a position where NATO are demanding they support the nazi regime in Ukraine and demonise Russia.
But no good will come of this.
We cannot allow those who follow nazi ideology to become empowered by the western public’s support for the Ukraine regime.
Do not let your government and media fool you into supporting a regime that holds torchlit parades every January 1st to glorify nazi war criminals.
You do have a choice
Very well explained.
I already knew some of this, so my bullshit alarm rang clear when the anti Russia rhetoric began.
The facts about all this is fairly easy to find, but it shocks me that so many people virtue signalling about Ukraine, have absolutely no knowledge of the true situation and no desire to learn the truth.
What a load of crap
